Put a Spring in your step

With Spring just around the corner and the snow a thing of the past its time to put away the turbo and get out on the road to put the miles in to help towards your 2010 goal. If your lacking motivation to ride why not organise a ride on the forum to encourage yourself and others.
Remember that bikes don't ride themselves

Extreme Bike Washing

Sam the Gram has challenged any Buxton members to take a picture of themselves washing their bike in an extreme or unusual location. Post your pictures on the forum (click here) with a explaination of where it is.

National Hill Climb Championships 2009

Windy conditions for the event on Pea Royd Lane, click here for a presentation of the event, there is a suprise about half way through, blink and you'll miss it.

CTT Insurance Renewal

The Club is insured for the next twelve months and individuals members can take out third party insurance. The good news is that the premium remains the same. Any member of Buxton C.C. who wishes to take out insurance, please sign a cheque for £12, payable to CTC, and send it to Tony Millington, click for address.

As all the Len Eyre time trials are now finished I've consolidated all the results on to one spreadsheet. I'm currently in the process of finalising all the calculations for the Scratch and Handicap competitions and hopefully these will be announced at the Long Hill or Oven Hill Road Hill climb. Monyash TT: Lee rules the roost and improves on the best time on the course. Full Results>>

Hill Climbs - Lower Elkstone: Lee ends Sam's 7 year reign as champion by just half a second. Full Result>>

Hill Climb - Long Hill. Sam avenges last weeks defeat so the 3 Hill championships culminates next week. Full Results>>

Hill Climb - Oven Hill. Lee wins by just over 3 seconds from Sam. Thanks to John Eastop for his promotion of the event and the refreshments. Full Results>>

Fixed Wheel Competition

Following the Len Eyre Time Trials this year we had an unofficial competition running for riders on fixed wheeled bikes. We only had 2 entrants all year, James Forder and Neil Pearsons, well done to them. James came out on top with the fastest time of 23:34. No prizes for it this year but next year we'll run it again.
