My 13-year-old son has finally grown out of the bike he's had since he was 7 - he's not a big fan of cycling so it hasn't been trashed but it has been well used with no problems at all. He's had it from when it was almost too big for him to now it's almost too small, such is the amount of adjustability - the seat post is huge, there are two pedal positions on the cranks to accommodate leg growth and the stem is adjustable. The gears are 7-speed SRAM twist-grips with three chain rings, there's a kick-stand and front suspension. It is scratched – it is 6 years old and has been transported on racks a lot – but there are no dents or cracks or any real damage except the wear and tear of 6 years use. The only reason to sell is that it's now too small and we need to get him an adult bike. I paid £180 brand new which seemed a lot at the time for a child's bike but it's been worth it as he'd have had at least two other bikes were this one not so bomb-proof and adjustable.
